What was your first experience at CrossFit Cayman like? It was a learning session with Matt. I wanted to get training immediately, and felt that if I was in the gym I should be sweating so that was strange. However, as Matt explained the process and why it was so important to get the basic understanding right, it made sense to me. 1.5 years later, it actually makes more sense to me and sometimes I wish I had taken more of that information in.
What results have you seen since CrossFitting? Definitely an increase in overall strength and flexibility.
What do you do to get yourself through a tough workout (mental thoughts, tips and tricks, etc.)? Take it one movement at a time.
What's your favorite aspect about working out at CrossFit Cayman? The coaching is excellent and always focused on injury prevention. Also, the camaraderie in the classes is exceptional.
What advice do you have for someone thinking about joining CrossFit Cayman? Try it out. Don't be put off by the public perception of CrossFit. It is a different way to train but it's fun, extremely time efficient and the variation keeps your body guessing.
