How long have you been CrossFitting? 18/19 months
What is your favorite WOD/Exercise? Chippers! Anything quite legs intensive or cardio: squats, lunges, box jumps, running maybe even burpees!
What is your least favorite WOD/Exercise? Snatches..
What is your previous workout/athletic background? Nothing competitive, I've always worked out at a more casual intensity. HIIT workouts or very light weights.
What was your first experience at CrossFit Cayman like? I was scared initially but everyone is just so nice. The trainers are amazing and any workout can be tailored to suit your ability but yet push you further than you would on your own. All the members were so welcoming and I never felt like I didn't belong in a class even if I was doing a simplified WOD.
What results have you seen since CrossFitting? So many body changes. Legs and arms certainly so much slimmer and toned. I've lost around 16 pounds in weight and as per my wedding dress measurements over 3 inches off my waist. My fitness, strength and even more so my stamina have also improved massively.
What do you do to get yourself through a tough workout (mental thoughts, tips and tricks, etc.)? I like to count down my reps (instead of up) and just remind myself that I can do it! It helps if Eugene (my fiancé) is also in the class so I can push myself to beat him.
What's your favorite aspect about working out at CrossFit Cayman? I love the variety of workouts day to day, the trainers and their encouragement and coaching throughout the WOD and the other members in the class and the comradery it brings.
What advice do you have for someone thinking about joining CrossFit Cayman? Just do it. It's suitable for all ages, shapes, sizes and abilities. You won't regret it!
