Name: Bianca Leacock

Age: 24

Hometown: George Town, Cayman Islands

How long have you been CrossFitting? 4 years

What is your favorite WOD/Exercise? Anything with pull-ups, cleans, snatches and box jumps

What is your least favorite WOD/Exercise? Anything with wall balls and push-ups (I think its because I’m not very good at them).

What is your previous workout/athletic background? I have always been very active, I played basketball, volleyball and ran track in high school. I was really big into yoga until I found CrossFit now I find it very difficult to sit still for an hour.

What was your first experience at CrossFit Cayman like? The first workout I did I remember thinking “oh this isn’t so bad” well needless to say it was that bad because I could barely walk for 3 days!

What results have you seen since CrossFitting? I have noticed the composition of my body has changed, I am in the best shape of my life!

What do you do to get yourself through a tough workout (mental thoughts, tips and tricks, etc.)? Some days I think that I’m not going to make it thorough the workout but I will usually just focus on the technique of the movement and less about the reps & rounds and then all of a sudden I realise the workout is almost over.

What’s your favorite aspect about working out at CrossFit Cayman? I love that as time progresses my CrossFit goals change and no matter the workout the Coaches will adapt the workout to help me achieve my next goal, they are very knowledgeable and always make sure that I’m moving safely.

What advice do you have for someone thinking about joining CrossFit Cayman? Most people think “I can’t do those movements” but that’s the beauty in it. Very few people can do the movements when they first start, it takes time and before you know it you’ll be the veteran.
